Terms of Service
Last updated: August 26, 2026These terms cover your use of the Surgent Labs website and, at a high level, how our client engagements work. Individual projects are governed by a written quote and agreement, which takes precedence over anything here if the two ever conflict.
Using this website
The content on this site is provided for general information. You're welcome to browse, share links, and use the quote form for its intended purpose. Please don't scrape the site, misrepresent your identity in the forms, or attempt to disrupt the service.
Quotes and pricing
Prices published on this site are real and current, but a project only becomes binding once you accept a written quote. Quotes are valid for 30 days. Once accepted, the quoted price is fixed: if the scope changes, we agree on the change and its cost in writing before doing the work.
Payment
Project work is typically billed 50% at kickoff and 50% at launch, with larger projects split across milestones. Monthly plans (care, SEO, marketing) are billed at the start of each month and, after any stated minimum term, can be canceled with 30 days' notice. Late invoices pause work; they don't add surprise fees.
Ownership
Once a project is paid in full, you own the deliverables: code, designs, content, and the accounts they live in. We keep the right to show the work in our portfolio and to reuse general-purpose tooling and libraries that aren't specific to your business. Open-source components remain under their own licenses.
What we don't promise
We promise the work described in your quote, done professionally. We don't guarantee specific business outcomes, search rankings, or ad performance, and you should be skeptical of anyone who does. Website content is provided as-is, and we may update or remove it at any time.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages, and neither party is responsible for delays caused by events outside their reasonable control.
Ending an engagement
Either side can end a project with written notice. You pay for work completed to date, we hand over everything produced so far, and any prepaid amounts for undone work are refunded. Monthly plans end at the close of the notice period with a full export of your data and accounts.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. If we update them, the date at the top changes. Questions go to hello@surgentlabs.com.
